Access and Amenity of Whale Beach Under Threat
A developer has applied to the Land and Environment Court for a restaurant/event venue allowing up to 182 patrons and staff – at 231 Whale Beach Road.
It will require up to 60 additional parking spaces. It will also have a 7 days a week liquor licence up to 10PM.
Parking at Whale Beach on hot days is already well over capacity. There’s no public transport to Whale Beach.
Access to the beach is an inalienable Australian right and must not be appropriated by commercial interests.
We need your support. Time is running out. The matter will be heard in mid-March 2024.
